Join the Fastest Adult Sweep Rowing Team in the Midwest!
The Lincoln Park Boat Club Men's Rowing Team is a Chicago-based competitive team made up of LPBC club members who practice and race together. The team is run by members and administered by volunteers, with a paid coach. Our team includes rowers from a wide range of backgrounds, some with national and international level competitive experience in collegiate and masters rowing, others with as little as one season of rowing under their belt. We compete in several Midwest regattas in the summer and fall, as well as US Rowing Club or Master Nationals, and the Head of the Charles Regatta. Four out of the past seven years our season has culminated with a top ten finish (among 50-75 entrants) in the Club 8+ at the Head of the Charles, including a medal in 2008 and in 2011 a gold medal in the Club 8+ event at Master's Nationals.
Prospective team members are welcome to join us for a few practices before officially becoming a member. Please contact a captain to schedule a time to come by.

Before joining the team or paying dues, you may be required to demonstrate an appropriate level of rowing proficiency to the coach and/or captains of the team. See the information on this page to contact the team captains, and for all basic parameters of the team. Monthly team dues cover coaching, regatta entry fees, gas and oil for the coaching launch, and travel costs to get the team boats to and from regattas. Team dues can be prorated for half-months and discounted collegiate rates for the summer are available.
LPBC membership is required for this team. Membership covers access to club sculls, paddling boats and ergs, insurance, and overhead costs such as buildings and equipment.
