Welcome to the homepage of the Lincoln Park Women’s Competitive Sweep Team. Thank you for your interest in our club!

The LPBC Women’s Team is a great group of women, all from various rowing backgrounds. Some of us rowed in high school and college while some of us have always had a passion for the sport and through practice and dedication have grown into competitive Masters rowers. (Masters simply refers to anyone over 21 years of age). Despite our varied backgrounds, through training together and with great coaching, we’re able to come together to be one of the fastest Masters Women’s Rowing Teams in the Midwest!
We practice throughout the year, but not always on the river (hello Chicago winter!). When we’re on the water we boat from the river site location (1501 N. Magnolia, just south of North Avenue adjacent to the Comcast complex). In addition, we do erg training and small boat (sculling) work out of the Lincoln Park Boat Club Boathouse (2341 North Cannon Drive).
Here is our training schedule:
March-November:
Beyond the on-the-water practices, we as a team make a commitment to 2-3 more workouts a week, strength training, cardio work or more water time in sculling boats as designed by our coach.
December-March:
Interested in joining us on the water?
You’re welcome to come out for a week and see if the LPBC Women’s Team is a good fit before you commit. Simply email us at lpbcwomensrowing@gmail.com and we’ll get you set up.
